About

Pastor Scott Swanson

Originally from metro Detroit, Scott became born-again and baptized in the Holy Spirit at 19 years old. Sensing the Lord calling him into ministry early on, he considered relocating to Tulsa, OK, to attend Bible college. After some consideration, Scott discerned that it was not the time to pursue his education, and instead felt the Lord prompting him to move to Los Angeles to pursue his life-long dream of working in the music industry. While in Los Angeles, Scott worked as a freelance recording engineer, and producer while having the opportunity to work with numerous high-profile Gospel and R&B artists and tour much of the United States and Europe. Early in 2015, Scott began to have a “holy dissatisfaction” with his career. That same year, he was introduced to the teaching of Andrew Wommack and learned about Charis Bible College. Once again, he felt a stirring in his heart for ministry. In 2016, Scott received direction from the Lord that the time had come to train for ministry, and he relocated to Colorado to pursue his education at Charis Bible College. After completing his second-year studies in 2019, Scott went on to graduate from Charis’s third-year Ministry School in May of 2020. Scott is passionate about teaching the Word of God and desires to see believers grow in their understanding of God’s love and grace and their identity in Christ. He is married to his beautiful wife, Israel, and they currently live in Woodland Park, CO.
